cleaning after saltwater exposure

I am taking may G20 hog hunting in the salt marsh. What will I need to do to clean it if it takes a saltwater bath?

Rinse the gun with fresh water when possible. Shake it off and continue hunting. Clean it as usual when possible.
BTW:A can of Gun Scrubber or WD40 will also displace the salt water but keep these away from the ammo.
