View Full Version : My New Large Game Muzzleloader Killer!

So my dad just finished building me this 1750'ish German Schimmel styled .50 cal. muzzleloader specifically for hunting larger game… mainly will be used for hunting whitetails in Michigan.

I’ve collected SEVERAL patch thicknesses, .50 cal. ball sizes & have both FF & FFF powders to see what it’s going to like load-wise… It has a VERY nice $$$ barrel so my hopes are high that with the right load she’s gonna be a tack-driver!

Very cool. I shot a black powder match a few months back. Took 7th... have nothing but respect for those guys. That was tough.

Interesting and a great photo linep. I never been a big fans of flinst but this seems very cool. More stories on the shorty that you have at the bottom of the photo lineup?
