Do you have the latest version of Adobe reader? They are up to version 10.1 now.

Is it the same file, or different files? I can't tell from the OP.
Is it all files from one website, or different websites?

You can also try NitroPDF.

Try www.bluebeam.com Its a 30-day free trial, but it seems to handle PDF way better than Adobe.

Are you downloading files or opening them in the browser window? Try saving the pdf file (right click on the link - save target as...) and then opening it with Adobe Reader. Your browser plugin could be messed up somehow.

This is an issue that pops up every now and then. The problem is that your PC is not associating PDF files with Adobe Reader.

Right click a .pdf file and select properties
Click the button towards the top of the dialog box that says Change
Select Adobe Reader from the list in the next dialog box and click OK
If Adobe Reader is not listed then click Browse and navigate to your Adobe Reader program directory, usually C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader (ver number). Inside it you will find acrord32.exe. Select that file and click open then OK on all the other dialog boxes to close those.

PDF files should now open just fine.
