I picked this up last week and have carried and shot (approx. 300 rounds) it since then. I have very favorable impressions of this pistol for many reasons. First and foremost, it is at a much lower price point than most of my other 1911's. That being said, I do not believe, at least in the case of the CCO, that less money equal lower quality. These pistols are a well thought out, quality build that is specifically designed for carry. I have read about the CCO for a couple years, and most of the reviews have been very positive.....Now I understand why. I am not sure it gets any better than this for a sub $1,500 1911 for a primary carry pistol. There are many quality builds out there, but the CCO has to rank up toward the top, in my opinion. Here are some pictures with a set of VZ Slimline Operators and a Harrison Extreme Trigger (does that make it a Harrison Custom?? :) I have a set of thin Snakewood grips on order from Sarge that are really going to make this pistol pop!!

That's a nice ranking, considering the rest of the 1911s that have or had in your collection.

I really like my DW CCO. And I really think that DW put out some really nice 1911s for their price point. Honestly, I think they were undervalue for what they were charging. And currently, their price points reflects the market.

I would eventually like to add a Valor to my collection.

That is exactly how I feel about my Valor. Knedrgr, you could do alot worse fot your $$$$$. Cheers!

In all fairness, I have not even messed with the Stinger yet, other than to shoot it a little. That is next on the agenda.

OK, I just added another 1911 to the got to have list. That's sweet just as is. Love the black short sold trigger and the grips too. Very sharp. And not a bad price either.

i looked for the "right" black/dark gray grips for a long time until sarge suggested the snakewood. He chose wisely :)

Ivory would look really good too.

I am not much of an Ivory fan. I think they look beautiful on a really nice blued display pistol, but they just don't do anything for me on a carry pistol.

My CCO is just about my favorite carry pistol now. It's hard to choose between it and the VBOB, but it's a good problem to have. I'm glad to hear that you like yours also Dave! They are a wonderfully build pistol. I see RB stopped by with pics of his, so I'll put up a pic of mine in Ivory since there was a mention of it.
Your Snakewoods are under way, and hopefully will be done soon! It's drill weekend, so I lose two days, but I'll get them done and out as soon as possible. :)

I detail striped and cleaned my CCO today. And I forgot that DW matched the frame, slide and MSH from the start. Each piece has the serial number etched on their respective parts.
