Anybody know where to get good gun belts that are in stock? I wanted a Milt Sparks belt due to the pre-curve and another member claimed to wear his Alessi Talon holster carrying a DW 1911 on the belt but I just contacted them and they are still on Feb orders :crying:. The only gun belt I have now is a Blackhawk CQC belt but it is 1.25" and I need a 1.5"

check on belt man. very high quality belts.

most belts are 30 days, but they may have a quick ship that fits your needs

A quick fix would be a 1.5" Wilderness Tactical Instructor belt with the stiffener.
If you are looking for more of a dress style belt, you can check with http://www.lightningarms.com/products.htm They usually have some in stock.

Just be forewarned that some holsters' belt slots may be wide enough to accomodate certain belts (1.25", 1.5", 1.75", etc.), but it doesn't mean that the slots are WIDE enough to accomodate said belts. That's why I am very hesitant to mix and match belts and holsters from different manufacturers.

I throw in a vote for Beltman. Great stuff. Had mine a couple years and it's still stiff as new.

I have a Beltman, it's a great belt. I would certainly like to try AG though, I've heard really great things about them. I think it's right around 30 days for both, and WELL worth the wait. Don't skimp on a cheap belt.

Since buying my first Wilderness 5-stitch Instructor belt back in the '90s I haven't carried a gun on anything else. They've always had them in stock when I've gone there or called them to place an order. YMMV!

If your shirt's gonna be covering it, do yourself a huge favor and get a Wilderness Instructors belt with the stiffener.

Best belt I've ever used and I used to be a custom leather snob.

Me two. I mean my two are great. One everyday is 7 years old, good as new.

Kirkpatrick leather has always provided fast service to me and others I know who use them. Don't know if they have the kind of thing you're looking for. But, if they do, you'll get it in short order.

I don't have any experience with the Beltman, but I've seen lots and lots of posts praising his work. I wear an Aker B21. I got it for Xmas, but I think my wife ordered it from Express Police Supply.

Another vote for Beltman. I got one just a week or two ago. I ordered a "quick ship" belt.

When they say "quick ship," they're not kidding. I made the order online, overnight on a Monday before Tuesday morning. It was at my door Wednesday afternoon!

Nice belt too. :) Recommended.

I agree. I have been wearing one for years. It is top notch gear.

Well I placed the order today for an AG Custom Leather belt. While Beltman's have received the most votes by far I saw no quality difference in the two. Both are 1.5" thick, both use dual layer bull hide, both come with a nickle square buckle, and both are quick ship belts. Only difference was the AG was $10 cheaper and I was referred there by the man making my holster

I've heard of AG spoken very highly. While everyone seems to love Beltman, AG seems to get similar love from a great many.

Great plus about AG is I believe they work well with the 1.5" Axiom's, which apparently I've read the Beltman's can be hit or miss if they will work. Not sure how it works though...

I've been a Beltman guy for years. Placing an order for one of Al's belts tomorrow, as he's a member of another forum I moderate, and my normal leather smith is hard down for an indeterminate amount of time.

Will do a comparison when I get Al's belt.

OP: You mentioned wanting a pre-curved belt. Not sure which custom makers offer that style other than Sparks. Galco does sell a pre-curved belt. Good quality.
I have a Beltman and have owned several other custom belts over the years. All quality gear. Most seem to take a curved set after some use, though not much.
