My first off-duty pistol was a 2" Model 10. I bought it NIB for $76 in 1970.

Nice collection, though I prefer fixed-sight K-frame snubs. I have a 3" 65 and 2" 64. I'd love to add some more 2" 64s to my collection, not to mention a 2" Model 12 RB (or 3 or 5).

If you are still interested, there a quite a few used M64 2" guns on GunBroker right now.

I have two M64-2 2" guns that I got in recent years. One cost me $400 and the other was $175. I overpaid for one and underpaid for the other so I think it evened out pretty well. When I added the two prices and divided by two I feel pretty good about it.

I also just got a M12 2" off of GB for $379. I'm in the process of doing some customization right now. Painted front sight, bobbed hammer, serrations removed from the trigger, new grips and a trigger job.

I will follow up with pictures when it is completed.

Here's my M12-2 2" I just got for easy warm weather carry. I bobbed the hammer, removed the trigger serrations, put in a spring kit and painted the front sight. I also added a Tyler T-grip and will shoot it this way for a bit to see if anything else needs changed.

Probably my favorite on this page so far. I would love a retired police gun of any kind someday but a revolver would be my first choice.

Sorry about the late response, those are from Thailand. I ordered them on Ebay. They worked out nicely for this gun, and cost ~ $30.

You got it Berto!
I bought it new back in 2000. It's a 66-5, which is the last model before the internal lock came along. They quit making them all together around 2005.

I sold it to my Dad along the way, to finance some plastic fantastic, and have recently been converting to revolver-only for carry.

So, I ditched the Ruger SP101 in favor of the 66 snub!
No contest, the Smith has an amazing trigger!
I had forgotten how bad *** the trigger on a Smith could be!

Took it to the range today, and from self-defense distances...it seemed like I was superman...tight tight groups, all center mass.

I even shot it from 25 yards (Never would do that with the SP101) and it was like shooting a target pistol.

Man, am I glad to have it back, and will never get rid of it.
I am carrying it in a brand new Tucker Texas Heritage IWB, and now that colder weather is here...a Galco Speed Scabbard OWB.

House sitting right now, but when I have my own camera...tons of K-frame snubbie porn to follow.

How does a round butt model 10 2 inch compare in size to a Colt Detective Special?

The Colt Detective is a smaller frame ,but larger than a J Frame..close to a Charter Bull Dog Frame

Nothing looks cooler then a 19/66, 2.5" round butt revolver. Is a 3" really still considered a snub? I really love the 13/65, 3" too.

Is that mod. 19 "K" frame the same as the mod. 15 ? I have a 15-2 heavy barrel and can I re-chamber it to 357 ?
