Picked up A New 1911 Yesterday (pic heavy)

Colt Commander SS "100 years of Service". I know many of you have had discussions with me about what type of commander style pistol I would like since I have never shot a Commander 1911. Well I saw this Colt at a local shop and traded the DE 1911 I had in towards it.

I took the Colt out this morning with 200 rounds and 4 different brands of mags. I didn't have one single issue with the factory Colt mags, Les Baer mags, wilson combat mags, or the chip shooting star mags. I am really starting to like this 1911. So here with out further delay is the customary pictures of said 1911. ( Oh p.s. I got a email from Severns that my Baer is done being refinished and is going to ship out Monday, I will put pics up of it also).

It sure is a pain to get that 100 year roll mark to show up in a picture!

Edit: Did it come with the front corners rounded out? I will say my new 70 is a sharp mother on the edges.

I'm not a stainless steel fan of the M1911 but I do like the way Colt does the polished flat and rough round surfaces. My blued Government Model is the same way except that the contrast stands out more on the SS handgun.

Don't get me wrong the Eagle was a good 1911, it ran fine. But I shot my other full size Baer and Colts more. So I decided to try a commander out for something different.
