I recently bought Remington R1 Talo version of Gunbroker and when I received it the slide had some terrible spots and long brown stains on it of which you members said was not normal. (I had a thread with photos I posted last week)

Anyway, I made one 2 minute phone call and they immediately sent me out prepaid UPS over night package with insurance. Paid for both ways.

So I sent the gun back they received it Thursday July 21st. I wasn't expecting anything back until end of this week but to my surprise I received it this Monday the 25th!

I mean that is one fast turn around time.

Thanks for the post Tony. We need to hear more good service experiences.

It's news like this that makes us want to do business with them (except for the finish flaw, of course).

Sounds like the sub contracted their CS to Springfield.

He's either too giddy with his new, perfect slide to tell us, or he's so royally ticked that they sent him back a turd in a box to elaborate on that... :supergrin: Somehow I think it's the former...

they've always been great to me, from ordering parts to sending me a free box of ammo when a find a crushed primer or a backwards seated bullet (umc).

They sent me a new one. I always provide pictures of my guns just give me a day.

Let me clarify they put a new slide on. Now when I hold an LED light directly upon the slide or hold it in the sun light you can't even find one blemish/brown stains on it anywhere.

Will post pics. If I still have my original ones I will do a before and after but I'm really pleased. I know it was an easy fix but I read on a couple 1911 forums a few R1 owners said it two weeks to get back their guns or they had to wait on the phone for 20-30 minutes at a time.
