Gentlemen,

I have Firefox 5 and every video I watch pauses multiple time while attempting to watch the video.

Is there any way to speed up the loading of You Tube Videos on FireFox 5?

Thank you all for your speedy assistance to this matter. I really appreciate your help.

Is this a new occurrence? It may have more to do with your internet speed (or general internet congestion). You may need to wait for more of the video to be cached before starting to watch it. Another possibility is to use a video downloader and watch it after it's finished.

Thank you for your help, Do you think it's a problem with Comcast? How would I even check that myself?

Could be ComCast...possibly it pauses more when more people are on the internet (cable shares bandwidth). You can try http://www.speedtest.net/ .

But another possibility is it's on youtubes end (or where the video is hosted). Possibly the server or servers the video is hosted on is just being overwhelmed with other video watchers.

Ah, in that case, it could be the newer Firefox doesn't play well with Flash (or vice versa). Short of verifying you're on the latest version of Flash, you might need to use a different browser.

Couldn't hurt to verify this is an issue with another browser as well though. Maybe try it in IE or Chrome.

When I have the time (tonight or tomorrow), I'll see if I can find anything on if it has been an issue with others and if someone found a fix.

I also use Firefox, but haven't noticed an issue myself. But I also have a habit of pausing videos until they are about half loaded.

Hey cgwahl, (http://glocktalk.com/forums/member.php?u=16296)

I'd really appreciate that. Thank You for your assistance. I do have Download Helper and Ad Block Plus with "Fan Boy" as the filter.

You might experiment with shutting down the add-ons you have running with Firefox.
