Where is a good place to get the Military MREs? I am looking for a case or so for hurricane season.

If the Military ones aren't available, what is the best substitute?

Then again, I'm not sure what I'm going to do now with dozens of books of matches :dunno: (they also seem to be quite a bit more expensive than when I picked up some - guess that's pretty much a given though now-a-days!)

Better hope your not on a Low Sodium diet restriction. Most of this stuff has over 1000 mg of sodium per meal in it. Current recommendation is 2000 mg day with no more than 500 mg per meal.

For short term you can get away with this stuff but you better have a lot of water to flush out your system, long term you can expect your Blood Pressure to start spiking in the Pray-for-a-Nose-Bleed territory after prolonged use. YMMV

Yes they do. they also work out daily, watch their weight, etc..

IMHO, a WHOLE LOT of people with health problems that are caused by bad diet and bad lifestyle are going to get weeded out pretty quick in a real emergency, by either losing the weight, changing lifestyle, or dropping over dead.

Simple as that.

Most don't eat MREs constantly for weeks on end. When in base camps they usually have real meals, no?
