I want to pick up some G10 grips for it now, just need to figure out what color works good with Bluing.

Really happy with it... I always thought people were nuts spending this much on a gun.

I can tell the difference now, and it is worth it!

Like the clean looks of it, really happy he had one in stock just as I wanted. No FCS and No Ambi Safety. First 1911 I have not wanted to make major changes on.

I hope you got a huge discount ??? I looks to me like 1/2 of it is made out of wood from China :tongueout:

Just kidding, looks Sweet, nice piece... Happy Birthday :cake:

dib's on the grips if you get rid of them :)

I will keep you in mind if I get new grips. Going to add a FT soon, need to order it and a punch set.

I tend to mess up wood grips is the only reason I tend to switch them out. I was hoping to get some by next weekend but I doubt that will happen so I may have Larry make me up a set.

I should have a range report by next weekend!

That's a great looking Baer, congrats! One reason I was afraid to buy my Baer CC new was that I personally think Baers can be hit or miss in terms of looks. So when I came across a good looking used one, I jumped on it. You certainly made out well

I've always been partial to OD green grips on black 1911s if not using wood. I want to keep the stock Thunder Ranch thin ones though. That's part of the beauty of a TRS. It really thin and flat.

Didn't know they were givin out birthday Baers. Someone forgot me. Oh well, nice heater. No golfball treatment, FCS, reverse inverted barrel crown polished kunkle valve, lanyard loop, ninja gun.

No go wear the finish off it and show us more pics.

Went to Buds today and they had a lightly used thunder ranch for 1500. I thought that was a good price.:dunno:

So...are you brining this to the August 28th match? I would certainly love to shoot it. I'll let you shoot mine!

If you go wood, I have to recommend Sarge. Great guy and awesome grips.

$1500 is not bad for a used TRS.

The wood grips that came with it are nice, so I would use them if I was going to keep wood on it.

For as bad a rep Les Baer gets on finish the bluing on this one is really nice does not seem super thin at this point.

I am hoping to come out for the 28th match have to see how things go at this point. I am low on fun money this month since I decided not to sell the M&P, so I may have to shoot it at the match.

This put Baer in the running for my 9mm 1911.

I am not sure if that is next or a better carry gun. (DW CCO or Guardian)

Always good to meet a forum member and find a new gunshop!

Love it!
Got mine from Crazy John,he always has some in stock.

In fact,he just got a bunch of Mono's and PII's in in 9mm.Some have the 1.5 guarantee and hard chrome.

If your looking for a top shelf 9mm 1911,the PII is hard to beat.
Mine has fixed sights and no FCS.

May I suggest you check out a Baer Stinger as your carry piece. I have three and they are my absolute favorite carry guns. I also shoot steels with them, and people are always amazed at how well they do (not me, the guns...).

Hey DAT; can I run a transfer through your shop? I'd also like to meet up with you. Kind of a drive, but well worth it I'm sure...

I have meaning to call you and Mr Grainfed and discuss a possible roadtrip.

Maybe we can get CJ to meet us at a tractor pull down in TW's neighborhood! :tongueout:

I should stick the DVD in and watch it at some point.

Ah. I couldn't remember if it was a brown paper sack or a brown cardboard box. There's an epic GT thread story behind that but anyway...

"Epic" doesn't do the cardboard thread justice.

hmmm I should look for this thread.

I know the cardboard box has a real mystique.

It takes up a lot less space than the giant plastic one my M&P came in. It is not a purdy blue like the Colt came in though.

I tried. It was in 2008, went to an epic 141 pages or something ridiculous like that, and has since been deleted. :crying:
