Hundreds of young people left the fairgrounds and made their way down to the surrounding neighborhoods, smashing car windows, throwing rocks and beating people who were leaving the fair.

Several people were punched in the face, a child was pushed to the ground, one woman required stitches and another will need surgery for her injuries.

Police are continuing to search for suspects involved in the incident.

One witness said he saw a group of 20-30 young men attack someone walking by.

"A group came through and the guy was kind of not really looking and was making his way through the crowd like anybody else would, and just wound up on his knees and they wound up punching him," the witness said.

"I had one kid you know asking me to sit on my porch until it cleared up because he was afraid to walk by himself."

Witnesses described the mobs as young African American teens. Milwaukee Aldermen Bob Donovan and Joe Dudzik released a bold statement on Friday about what they called a "deteriorating African American culture in our city," Fox 6 News reported.

YouTube is taking the videos down quickly, so it must not be a racial thing.

I live in So Wisconsin and last week on the radio(Conservative) they were talking about Barry's boy in Chi-Town, Rahm Emanual, has kicked 25,000 "Disadvantaged" from the projects. Supposedly they were told to get on the bus and head North to Wisconsin.

I guess thats one way to clean up his town. Not lookin' good for us up here tho.

Not far from the place where a young man cut the unborn baby out of a woman's belly as a gift for his girlfriend a few years back. Oh man those cities are sure a splendid place to live. How proud the parents must be. Oh wait, what parents?

So far no mention of sticks, clubs, knives or guns used by the attackers - a positive, I guess.

CCW permits will(SHALL) be issued to Wisconsin citizens in November. Plenty of good guys have been carrying for years, it is only a misdemeanor if you are not already a felon.

I forgot to add that open carry IS legal here, and surely would have prevented this. I guess more of us here should us this right. (No one including myself really open carries where I live, but it is legal).

The Reginald Denny video tape should be played often.

Miles from the tourist hotspots of central London, Tottenham is one of the most deprived areas in all of England, with nearly half of all children living in poverty, according to campaigners. The area is very diverse and home to one of the capital's biggest black populations.

I bet if one of those in the mob were gunned down it would become racial. Al Sharpton and the ACLU would have been all over it. :steamed:

Another reason I decided years ago to not to go large events like that. IF I did, I'd say have a plan of escape, lock your car doors and drive away. I also carry gun(s) with reloads and I mind my own business. A can of OC will go a long ways to keep a crowd away.
NO place is safe from thugs these days. A mob is a violent incident, and needs to be dealt with accordingly...

"Another reason I decided years ago to not to go large events like that."

This is why I don't go to sports events, drink in bars on the wrong side of the tracks. and avoid crowds.

When I was in high school, I was a driver for a manufacturer's representative with a broken leg. I drove around south central Los Angeles (a term banned now by the Los Angeles Times). Amost 50 years ago I was told that if I had a traffic accident, not to stop and to drive to the nearest police station. My employer wasn't racist. He also wasn't stupid.

Several years ago I determined that large events were not a good idea.........not that I have any desire to attend any.

The only ones I attend now are the NRA yearly show when it is close enough and Knob Creek...........both seem to be very well behaved............wonder why?

Good luck open carrying in Milwaukee...
Actually I live in Madison, wich is far more "Left" than Milwaukee. Last year the Madison police chief made it clear to the Madison police force NOT to arrest anyone open carrying as it will set the police dept up for lawsuits.
In fact just down the street from where I live a group was arrested last year for open carrying, and as of a few weeks ago, they have now filed a lawsuit against the Madison Police dept.(What police dept can afford lawsuits these days?)

Also I believe there were commericals on the radio of a Wisconsin sherrif telling citizens it is legal to open carry! This was just over a year ago. (Yes I have heard the comments of the former Milwaukee Police chief on Open carrying).

Hell, I never even owned a gun until a Madison police officer basicly told me to get one after the last time I was robbed in '05. This was weeks before our previous Gov vetoed our second CCW bill. The Madison Police are some of the only non-liberals in this town.
Of cource the police chief is in the Liberals pocket as I believe his position is appointed. Street cops and detectives are for the most part real tho.

As I wrote in an ealier post, 25,000 people were just kicked from the projects in Chicago, and basicly told to move North to Milwaukee and Madison. There now here! Supposedly Chicago parolee's are told to get on the bus to Madison because the Lib-tards here will set them up with free housing!

Judging by the Milwaukee alderman's comments about the "Black" youth, it sounds like more people are begining to wake up to the fact that good people need to be able to defend themselves against these thugs. I just wish that the Madison aldermen spoke like that about the "Black" youth.

Yeah well we have open carry in our state and the police arrest them as well. The police don't care about lawsuits. The police feel know one should be Oc'ing in city limits or anywhere else for that matter.

Count one here.

You need to have some sort of training including hunter's safety. Took that 30 years ago and can't find any proof.

Regardless, I'm taking my class this Thursday and will apply 11/1/11

A great reminder to always be on alert. Mindset is everything. This should have been fairly easy to avoid and shut down almost before it got started. I can see how during a mass exit from a fair like that, it could go un-noticed, or the scale of it be a bit hard to judge for a while.

for those of you avoiding the fair - that's your choice. I choose to participate in society. That said - I also do not assume much is safe anywhere, anytime. Exits, lighting, shifty characters etc...

Any organization is just one class action lawsuit away from poverty today.

Only if they lose the case and must pay big $$$ to the winner...

The attorneys for both sides are provided by the wealthy on their side, the government, pro bono, or contingent on the outcome ($).

Examples:

ACLU vs. School District/IHL

ACLU vs. Corporate Employer

NRA vs. City

etc., etc.

The big financial losers are the individuals/companies who must fight legal battles alone and the taxpayers who must fund the legal fees for the government (and all that it encompasses).

UK Riots spread!!

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2011/08/08/uk-police-arrest-over-200-as-london-riots-continue/?test=latestnews

The riots appeared to have little unifying cause -- though some involved in the violence claimed to oppose sharp government spending cuts, which will slash welfare payments and cut tens of thousands of public sector jobs through 2015.

But, as the unrest spread, some pointed to rising social tensions in Britain as the government slashes 80 billion pounds ($130 billion) from public spending by 2015 to reduce the huge deficit, swollen after the country spent billions bailing out its foundering banks.

I have been going to Wisco State Fair for years. Never had a problem.

I heard about this Friday morning and was a little concerned about a possible problem. Went to Wisco State Fairgrounds Saturday and didn't have any problems. Security was a little higher than normal, but nothing crazy.

Seen more "hoods" outside the fairgrounds than inside.

Arrests were down at the Iowa State Fair Monday night, with 11 people transported from the grounds to Polk County Jail, said Iowa State Patrol Sgt. Scott Bright.

“It was a pretty quiet night,” Bright said.

Forty people were arrested at the fair on Friday, 34 were taken into custody on Saturday and 12 went to jail on Sunday

I post this to let you know why I don't go to state fairs, bars on the wrong side of the tracks, sporting events.
