It's a custom built on a stainless Wilson slide and frame. There's a story on it in the latest issue of Combat Handguns. Sounds really solid. Don't care for the looks too much (too much billboards for me). Sounds like a reliable and accurate shooter. Anyway, it's still pretty cool.

They do call it a PT1911...:rofl:I doubt it gets confused with the "real" PT1911 though.

For $3,400...I'd rather just have a Wilson and save a boatload of kizash.

There seems to be one in almost every thread these days.

Well I would hope a 3,000 dollar gun would distinguish itself from a 400 dollar one a bit more. It reminds me of the PT1911. I'm sure pt 1911s work fine.

Never even held a Predator, but can gaurantee, without a doubt, that side by side there's a 1000% difference between the two pistols. It looks like a Taurus, because it's a 1911. Once again...

Interesting looking piece.

The frame reminds me of knedrgr's Remsport.

I don't recognize the Matt Burkett name, tho', so unless they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, I'd find it difficult to drop that much cash on one without a hands-on first.

Proabably a solid gun, just doesn't do anything for me at the price though.

With a name like that it should come with a free pair of Ninja boots.

Feels like a typo of Strike.

Old USAF guys may remember the Shrike missiles that the Wild Weasel guys used to take out SAM sites, and other radar emitters.

He is an action pistol shooter and they do come with a good warranty. read through the description. The gun comes with instruction from the Predator team and a complete refinishing.

I did so, couldn't find their guarantee, but did find this: Briley custom match barrel with Spherical bushing...

Pass.

They are bona-fide top drawer pieces coming out of Predator Tactical. Matt has numerous championship wins, but that is just part of it.

The fit and finish on the PT pistols is on a par with the very best 1911s on the market. His new 1911 magwell is amazing as well. The team he has assembled is very skilled in a variety of ways, including building guns. I've shot 3 Predator Tactical 1911/2011s and they are amazing.

The price does include training, tuned magazines and a complete refinish.

Actually, Ian Harrison, winner of 1st season of Top Shot, is a customer of Predator Tactical. Spent some time talking to Ian at the Iron-Man...heck of a nice guy, and he works for Crimson Trace.

To add to that, his 2 builders, have 25 combined years with Infinity.

Learn something new everyday!

I like the CT grips, just not on a full size gun for some reason. Not sure why no logic to it. I had them on a lot of my small stuff at one point, though at current I am without laser. I wish they made them for the P238 that replaced the grips.
