I've never seen jeweling on a pistol that didn't look fugly. :puking:

Other than the jeweled barrel hood and trigger, this Colt looks nice. I love the blue finish.

That's some beautiful blueing. I could live with the jeweled barrel hood, but the jeweled trigger was a step too far for me, still a very good looking gun though.

Yeah I agree about the trigger. Didn't even notice that.

For the most part, I agree with you. But for some reason, it looks right at home on a Hi Power.

I'd own it. For sure. Not what I would pick to have done to mine, but I'd own it indeed. That bluing is incredible.
I can appreciate jeweling done right. If it's wrong, AT ALL, it looks horrible.

Why does Colt find it so difficult to put a decent set of sights on a gun?

They say in the ad that it's new-old stock. I find that hard to believe. Aside from the jeweling (which I've never seen from the factory on a Colt before), that blue job doesn't look right. The blueing is well executed but there are edges missing from the gun that make me believe that this gun has been polished and refinished - by somebody who wasn't quite at the top of his profession. It might have started life as a limited edition, but it has been "touched" by somebody.
