As some of you know I am getting out of the plastic business. One of my EDCs (attire dependent) is a S&W M&P9c. It's got to go. I am currently looking at 1911 CCO models as the front runner for replacing it as the grip height of the CCO is about as much of a difference as I want to go for, given the role the M&P plays. Right now I am looking hard at the Sig GSR Nitron. I have looked at the Colt Gunsite and DW CCO. I have considered the Defender, EMP, Micros and Ultras. I think for now the Officer frame is the right replacement.

I have already started transitioning from a Sig 229 to a Springfield LW Champion Operator as the main EDC. I'll go to the CCO/Officers model if I need a little shorter grip to better conceal. I train/shoot pretty religiously so having a similar set up with both EDCs makes a lot of sense to me.

So post up those CCOs and Officers models, I am hoping to see something I haven't thought of or come across but as always any and all pics are gratuitous!

Talk to drc about possibly getting in on one of the new Guncrafter NN CCO's. They dont exist yet, so pics arent possible. DRC has commitments on the 6 he had allotted, but I believe Alex was building 10.

I just picked up a Talo Colt CCO. I test fired it yesterday, then cleaned it and slapped on a nice set of ivory grips. No pics of mine yet. I guess you'll have to pretend there is ivory on the one in the link.

I have a Les Baer Stinger in stainless also. It shoots great. It has less recoil and muzzle flip than the CCO, but it's a little heavier for carry. Picking a favorite would be like having to choose your favorite child.

I'm with you HC ! I took a CDP compact in on trade earlier this year and I liked the way it handled. I let it go, but recently got a DW CCO. I like the CCO design much better than my Bobtailed guns. I am thinking about letting all them go !

Because officers frame > tried to get officers concealability out of a fullsize frame.

The grip just feels better and points better for me. When I shot the CCO and VBOB side by side, the VBOB seemed to roll up more on recoil. I also seemed to hit low with the VBOB after shooting the CCO, but that could just be transitioning from the three dot sights on the CCO to the two dots on the VBOB. I never noticed it hitting low before.

Hey BuckyP, just saw this.......
Well, the Wilson just feels "clunky" to me for lack of better terminology. It's the heaviest and thickest and although a great pistol, just doesn't get the nod all that often. The Fusion has the best trigger by a smudge, but I haven't shot it enough everything "broken in and smoothed out", so it's just not silky smooth yet. The DW CCO is everything I like in a CCO. Smooth like glass, great sights, great trigger (admittedly, mine was tuned a little when I put the STI on it), and I can make groupings with it that would make my full sizers jealous. It feels great in the hand and the holster. It is by my side more than just about any other pistol I have.
Thanks,
Sarge
