View Full Version : stuck slide, won't come off
Help. I took my G 17 - Gen 2 down totaly for my yearly cleaning. I thought everything went back together ok, but when I cycled the slide the trigger would not reset. I then tried to remove the slide but it will not come off. Is there any way to get the slide off so I can start over?
No personal experiance here but hickock mentioned in a video you can disasenble the slide from behind as much as possible and that should help. Can recall the video or exactly the context but he mentioned it
Went to a Glock match today. The Glock Armorer took the slide apart and it came off the gun. He replaced most of the parts in the frame and is back to stock. Yeah, it shot great too.

Purely a suggestion. Clean it four times a year and you'll be more familiar with how it's done.
Right more on using the armorer!
