Interesting video, I never really thought of this before

One of my co workers sent me a very interesting video concerning "cutting" shotshells. I guess this used to be a common practice.

Glaser safety slugs for the shotgun. I can't imagine how devasting this would be on tissue.

Very common back in the depression era for taking deer. My Grandfather taught me that one back in the 60's but I have never had to resort to it.

Okay for the chambered round, but I wonder if feeding the second, etc. could be a little problematic...

Not recomded for pump or semi autos.

Really should be an emergency use only type of thing when you can't obtain buck or slugs and all you have is some bird shot to kill big things.

If you want a cheap way to get buckshot take up reloading

If you have access to slugs, there's no real reason to cut shells.

Yes, but it doesn't really do the same thing a slug does when it hits the target now does it. Like they said in the video, it becomes a frangible projectile, just like a Glaser. Hits the target whole then comes apart violently.
