You mean, the government should pay their rent. It is city housing after all. Might as well give them cell phones too.

Yeah, I remember standing on the subway platforms and seeing the giant rats in the tunnels. There were a ton of them that size and bigger.

Ewwww! Ewwww! Ewwww!

(gathers skirt and climbs up on a chair while wife closes the open browser window with the picture of the giant rat.)

I hate vermin. We had some crazy old lady in the ghetto who was feeding the rats in her house bags of dog food. She'd slit a bag open and throw it into space between her dilapitated shotgun house and the next. The rats would swarm from under the house and devour the dog food, bag and all. It looked like some writhing, squealing mass of rat cannibals. It was one of the trippiest things I've ever seen. Needless to say, her house got condemned.

ETA: Found the video. The camera crew showed up shortly after my partner and I had left. We were on our way back to the office from lunch when we heard one of the patrol sergeants getting out with it after being flagged down and went to be lookie- loos. The big ball of rats that you can see in the video was three times as large when I was there.

We also had this one in one of our better neighborhoods, so it's not just a ghetto thing.

Maybe we should start a rat hunting tour. Rent out pitchforks and have people go to town trying to stick a record size rat.

It's been reported these rats can be trained to sniff out explosives/land mines. Maybe the NYPD can deputize them in their ant-terrorism efforts?

I understand they taste like chicken. Can anyone verify that? :whistling:

Riding through downtown Baltimore at night several years ago looked like a scene from "Williard" ( a movie about mean rats for youngsters).

I was scared to get out of the car, and I had a gun.

I am terrified of mice and rats. Last winter, a nasty ass Norway got into the sewage system in the courthouse and popped up out of a toilet in the men's room down stairs. I stood on the landing screaming while the sarge beat it silly with my baton. Then he took it outside in a box and it ran away. Absolutely. Disgusting.
