Someone in Scottsdale, AZ wanted to parody http://www.gun-control-network.org

The "real" site appears to be a British website, but is hosted in Dallas, TX.
(The gun control website has dashes in its URL, the parody site does not.)

The "real" site focuses on controlling or eliminating real and imitation guns and any and all combat training or simulated combat training.

It's clear to me the one in Scottsdale has a serious intent - underline the folly of the "real" site.

The folks in AZ did a good job while also having some fun. A copy of this cartoon should be pasted on the forehead of every gun grabber. http://www.guncontrolnetwork.org/disarm_man.htm

Obviously, the British site does not speak for all Brits. I just happened to find them and appreciated the efforts of the Arizona folks.

Working towards a gun free environment. Yep that’ll stop violence.

Annual Total of Firearms Offences in England and Wales

I wonder where the graph is that shown the drastic increase in violence. It has a much sharper angle than the one above. Kick someone’s door in and beat them to death with a cricket bat? NOOOOO PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trash businesses while people watch? NOOOOOO PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone on another forum was discussing being banned from http://forums.shootinguk.co.uk/ when he attempted to discuss what I assume is self-defense and handguns to British ladies, instead of just long gun hunting.

I looked at the forum a bit out of curiosity and to learn more about England's view on guns. Saw them struggling with the concepts presented by the people in Arizona. They did not get very far and instead, the thread drifted to discussing whether Hitler was a vegetarian. I kid you not.

But there were several people who were bothered by actions of the British government, lots of talk about fire arms certificates the government issues to allow a subject to have a long gun. Reminds me of an Illinois FOID.

About violence in Britain, this article says it's the most violent country in Europe, worse than South Africa or the U.S.A.
