Springfield Armory LW Compact 45 build plan

So I recently picked up this Springer light weight Compact 45
Below is my build plan. Hopefully I can get squeeze it into the infamous Pistolwrench's schedule.
Here's the plan,

French cut slide,
Ball cut slide,
Recontour front strap, high cut w/golfball,
Match crown barrel,
Recoil spring plug with no hole,
EGW grip safety,
Roundbutt contour,
Carry bevel pkg,
Cut slide for 10-8 sights
What do you all think?
Undecided on finish,......will get that figured out later. Thinking CeraKote.

Sounds good Greg.Just one thing I would do different and that is leave it a square butt,since it is an Officer length frame.A round butt or bob tail might make it a bit too short, for me anyway.

Totally agree. I'd checker the FS instead of golfball too. It's all in what you like though!

Reliability/Trigger package?

Plan on replacing the trigger with a Harrison or a 10-8, & a C&S ignition set.

I got a confirmation from Chuck to send the Springer LW Compact, sending it out on the 5th.

So here is the finalized build plan,...........for now. Looks like a 4-12 month build time.


-Recontour front strap & high cut with golfballs
-Flat MSH with golfballs
-Match crown barrel
-Recoil spring plug with no hole
-Round butt contour

-Wilson commander hammer
-Harrison solid, black short trigger
-Trigger job, disco, sear
-Carry bevel pk
-Cut slide & install Tier 1 sights
-CeraKote....Sniper Grey
