I found this over on THEE RANT. The clip is a UK reporter interviewing range officers at Rodmans Neck.

In clip 4, at about the 1:45 mark, one of the "girls" of the NYPD demonstrates the 2 finger method (1 finger from each hand) to fire her pistol. In clip 5, it shows a armed Bobby. He is carrying a Webley, stuck in his back pocket!

Was one of the guys on the line in the beginning, Jim Cirillo?

Go the Webley!

My old man collects them and has about 15 of different models.

About three have safety catches and most are in .38 S&W, with the couple of
.455s as well.

The classic British revolver.

Lt. Frank McGee was the commanding officer of the Firearms and Tactics Unit being interviewed by the BBC reporter. He was my first CO at the unit. Very bright, well educated man. He transformed the unit from an "ammunition disposal unit" to a true firearms and tactics unit.

Brought back memories.

"Place the person who he is engaging in an unretaliating condition."

Seems to have a little more finesse than shoot to stop.

Sad thing is that she's so big, that full sized radio clipped on her lapel looks like a regular little cell phone by comparison. Yes... That looks to be some CA jurisdiction... Can't make out the patch, State police, perhaps, before the chp merger?

And stripes, too. So she made supervisor....... fantastic.

Looks to be a two striper, which is not really a supervisory rank in most agencies here, but denotes a senior patrol officer or fto. Some departments use it to denote a corporal rank which is supervisory. Either way, it's a scary thought, but then again, some of the best cops I've known were big dudes.

She is simply demonstrating to subordinates, the CALEA approved procedure for when the billy goats try to go over the bridge.

I love how she uses her gun as a tactical coat hanger for her duty jacket.
