So I am useing 3.5-4.0gr of TG for my 40S&W loads but I am starting to load 9mm again and looking for info. I will be useing 124gr fmj from precision delta. http://www.precisiondelta.com/detail.php?sku=B-9-124-FMJ I will be useing TG and wondering where I should start for good all around target/comp loads? I have seen a few guys useing 4.0 which from what I see on their web site is pretty close to max? 3.5 for starting?

I use 3.8 loaded to 1.145 with 124 JHPs. Comes in around a 132 pf.

Some people will swear up and down that TG is evil. I have no problem with it at all. Dont hot-rod it and you will be fine.

4.0g TG with a PD 124g FMJ at 1.135 OAL is my pet Glock load. Chronos at 1100 fps out of my G34.

4.1 start and 4.4 max.

I used to load 4.2 under a 124 and 115. I don't use TG any more. I like WST better and it makes Fred happy.

Good job Fred I know that had to be tough.

4.0g TG with a PD 124g FMJ at 1.135 OAL is my pet Glock load. Chronos at 1100 fps out of my G34.

I load with a 124 Grain Montana Gold FMJ using TiteGroup, Bullseye OR VVN320 at 4.0 Grains, OAL 1.150. All three loads cycle my Glock 17 perfectly, are extremely accurate, and meet PF easily.

What is the fascination with Titegroup? I must know.

Well for one, with a 147 grn MG bullet and 3.2 grns of TG, I get the PF I need for comps. Second, I can run my 17 like a raped grape with it. NO signs at ALL of over pressure. Never, EVER, had an issue.

What's with all the fear mongering over TG?

If I didn't shoot Lead I would be using TG. I would also try WST. But I never did that.

No fascination here. I tried it based on recommendations of a few local guys. I was using Vhit N320.

It worked for what I needed which was 9x19 loaded to just over minor.

So I bought a few 8 lb jugs and have not had a reason to switch.

TG is not my powder of choice. IMO:
pros- cheap, available, little goes a long way
cons- dirty, smokie, little goes a long way

I prefer Bullseye and Unique over TG. I get VVN320 at cost, and have a plentiful supply of it, so VVN320 is my powder of choice.

No fear, used TG in 9mm for a few years. I just found a powder I like better.

Not sure what weight you want, they list a load for WST in the 147gr. They do have loads for the 90gr. and 100gr. bullets. Let me know if you want them?

P.S. Hope you can read this.

Charlie.

147 grain delta precision over 3.4gr of Titegroup. Plenty of power factor for IDPA. No problems.

Thanks ColoCG. I zoomed in and could read it fine. I mostly shoot 124 grain in 9mm and my wst load looks to be around the middle.

You have to be careful w/ that data. FOr some reason, Hornady lumps jacketed & lead bullets together. Shoot 5.4gr under a 125gr LRN & you could be well over std pressures, depending on which LRN & OAL. Caution, always work your loads up.

Thanks for pointing that out Fred. I am loading jacketed.

Looking at that WST data..... I'm skeptical, my 4.0 load with a moly 135 is consistent at 1000 fps. 4.8g with a 124 fmj just seems like a lot. I'm working on a 147g moly FP load right now. Gonna load some 124g as well to get some baseline data for my G34.
