Gun show inna couple weeks! Goin to look for a 3rd gen with a caliber that starts in a "4". But only if its steel framed!**DocHoliday** My hypocrisy goes only so far! **Doc Holiday**
XDM caan be had in 9mm, 40S&W, or .45 ACP
<----likes 9mms a lot at this point.
<----has carried and shot most of the common calibers.
And some of the uncommon ones too.
Would like another Smith 3rd Gen in pretty much anything.

4586=4 1/4" barrel steel frame DAO
4516= 3 3 /4" barrel steel frame TDA

Noted! DAO is ok, if the trigger is good. Whats a TDA? Not to be confused with a TSW?
Hey smitty,I have more ranger sxt than you can shoot in a year.C'mon the first box is always free.'08. :whistling:

TDA= traditional double action. long pull first shot, light short every shot thereafter.

:headsmack: I shoulda caught that. TDA is fine wit me!
<---shoots revolvers double action like S&W intended
The S&W precock DAO third gens have a interesting trigger pull. Because of where the hammer is in the cycle, the pull starts out heavier then lightens slightly during travel.
4043 was first duty gun. had a 1086 pass through that should have snagged.

CAUTION:
You may find the trigger safety to be sharp on your finger.
I found it less comfortable than the Glock.
And, the M&P is the MOST comfortable.
:wavey::wavey:
I have found the S&W DAO to be very nice after clean up.

Done that more than a few times with a .41mag and a 10mm.

When I shoot my .44 Magnums, the fellers on the points next to me frequently wet their pants and go runnin' out screamin' like little girls.
First shot: heads come a-peekin' around all of the partitions with that, 'What in the Hell was that?" look.

I hear that 3900 rounds of 9mm can be traded for a pack of chewing gum.
I think the 9mm is over-valued. Three sticks of gum, max.
:wavey:
9mm has it's uses. I wouldn't buy a fullsize pistol in 9mm because it seems to be a waste of space. Now they are making some nice sized pocket guns in 9mm now that make a lot of sense to me.

Model 37 is a proper pocket gun. :wavey:

:wavey:
You can de-mill the 9mm, melt the brass and re-form as .45, melt the lead and recast or form as .45, and reuse the powder in the .45. Primers you are just SOL on.
Basically if you mash two 9mm together into .45 you have half as much ammo but you tripled your value.

Well, there is the Glock 37 in .45 GAP, but it is hardly a back up gun.
I believe I am unfamiliar with the Smith and Wesson by that number.
then if you want to talk about your favorite Trombone gun....
The model 37 Ithaca
ahhhh, an airweight Chief.
37? Smith? Glock? Rhudabaga?
Rhudabaga 37, sounds like the gun version of the Edsel.

Once you go Magnum, you can never go back.
Once you go Magnum, you can never go back.
I must say that there are times that I long for the early days of my career when Magnum revolvers were the norm. :sigh:

When I think of the Ithaca 37 I think of the cut down pump that Ricardo Tubbs used in Miami Vice, so it was a handgun.:tongueout:
Miculek doesn't make a J-frame grip. :crying:
