Someone hit the NAIL on the HEAD!
I have been going to sleep very early...Not just because it is a school night, but I got hurt last week, and find myself EXHAUSTED at the end of the day.
It's all I can do to stay awake until 8 p.m.
Doing better, but rest is very high on my list at night!
I'll reply to all the PM's as soon as possible!
Thanks bunches!!!
:hugs: :wavey:

Today, it would be more appropriate to say "Kids, LEAVE those teachers ALONE!!" :tongueout:
There are some pretty TOUGH kids out there!

Sometimes, when I think I'm losing my student's attention, I start talking like the Charlie Brown teacher "Wa wawawa WA wawawa WA." They start laughing hysterically, and I get them back.

When I was in school the teachers hit us. Now it seems to be the
other way around. There is no way in hades that I could be a teacher
today because I would end up in jail! :faint:

I think it is probably a much more challenging job today than it was when you and I were in school.
My husband remembers that teachers hit them when he was in school, too.
I NEVER saw a teacher hit a student. But I KNEW that the principal gave spankings. I also knew that he/she had my parents blessings to do so if needed. AND I was more afraid of what I'd get when I got home than anything that might have happened at school.
SO, I never got in trouble at school. My dad put the fear of GOD into me from the first breath I ever took. I thank him for it to this day! He did acknowledge to me, when my girls started school to pay close attention to what they did say about their teachers. That was his biggest regret...because not all teachers are great teachers. I knew exactly what he meant, and we did go to bat for our girls a few times. But we used discernment with both the children and the teachers. It's not always clear cut.
I can tell you which students have that background today...and it's not very many of them! Many parents are not supportive of the teachers or principal
when it comes to enforcing good behavior. It's really sad! A parent needs to be involved with their children at school and listen and watch what is going on!
