It's suppose to be like an AR that hits like a 308 ?

Its called the AR10- the rifle that came before Fairchild designed the AR15. The AR10 shot .308 cartridges.

Cartridge . Anybody !!!
Cartridge . Anybody !!!
It's not really like a .308. It's ballistics are barely like the .300 Savage. It comes in one weight 125 gr in either ballistic tip or JSP.
It's a .450 Bushmaster case necked down to .308. Fires a 125 gr bullet at 2,800 fps (probably from a 24" test barrel not a 16" carbine). That's equal to a .300 Savage with the same weight bullet, but the standard bullets for the .300 Savage are a 150 or 180 gr.
I think it's a great idea, but Remington is doing a terrible job marketing the round.

Prolly cause the whole .30 cal thing is pretty much micro niched out.
Va fish that's what I was talking about but why hasn't it caught on ?? :dunno:
1. Remington is not marketing it well.
2. As far as I know remington has kept it proprietary so no one else can make them.

Too bad because it sounds like it would be a good hog, deer, and home defense round if it were more main stream .
