So someone said in the other thread they felt the LCT was just really slow. And it is compared to a progressive. No doubt about it. But, it's not horrible either. So I thought I would take a little video to show what a LCT does and how I have mine setup. Basically, three bins. Bullets are on the bench, completed rounds are in the left yellow tray and empty cases are in the right yellow tray. I grab a empty case after I seat the bullet. It's easy to then hold the empty case but still grab the completed round and drop it in the left bin.

Basically, one round every 15 secs or so. I was not trying to go fast. I was looking in every case.

:sadangel: I miss my LCT, not that I have an immediate need or use for one. It would just be nice to have around to play with load development once in a while.

You bought a new piece of gear and it works?

What's the big red thing next to it?

4 dies, FCD?

My computer must be broken, it didn't play your soundtrack or your sound effects. It left out all your props, costume changes, applause from your studio audience and even your list of credits.

Great, now I've got to go see my computer guy and get this thing fixed.

I could hear music when I was making the video. I'm stunned you can't hear it as well? Must have had my headphones too low.

Big Red thing is a Lyman Turret. Old School. Jack gave it too me.

I took my 650 handle. Removed the ball. Wrapped it in a towel, Stuck it 1/2 way into the 2" receiver of my Tundra and jacked the rear of the truck nearly off the ground. That put a very gentle bend in it. I then had a flat milled in it at that angle and tapped it for the same roller I use on my star sizer. I just swap them back and forth. I need to order another roller.

I've loaded several thousand rounds on my LCT over the last 6 months. I'm more than ready to upgrade to a progressive! I'll keep the LCT for .38 Special since I don't shoot huge numbers of that.

What is the reason you leave the handles down on the presses?

That thing is so slow you might as well kill yourself. :whistling:

When I stop in the middle of a run, I just leave the handle in the down position. Then I can come back and just start right back up again. Nice and easy.

Well, it's at the end of the bench I only use when I am using the 650. So far it's been fine.
