Just picked up a brand new Sig 556 Classic from a shop in LaFayette, LA for only $1000. They go $1299-$1599 used here in San Antonio. Anyways, haven't shot it yet but I broke it down and am very impressed with the internals. Now I need to find a place to get a cheap rail system.

Congats and good luck with the new weapon. I am considering of selling my AR and getting a Sig 556 Classic. Will AR mags fit in the 556 Classic? Thanks for any assistance with this.

No, AR handguards wont fit. Gotta buy either Troy or Samson and those go for $300 give or take.
