To be honest I don't even remember. I picked them up at a gun show about six years ago. Do a search for "volquartsen wood target grips ruger mk2"
Happy searching :wavey:

Top- Savage Mark II GXP - Nikon ProStaff 4-12x40mm BDC reticle [this is my baby as in my most 'beautiful' rifle, classic classy looks and awesome bolt action fun]
Middle- S&W M&P 15-22, heavily Magpul'd up, and also not wearing his Aimpoint Micro R-1 or sling [this is my 'baby' as in my most-$$$-and-effort-into-it]
Bottom- Remington 597, internal Volquartsen upgrades, external sling & equip. upgrades, Nikon ProStaff 4-12x40mm Nikoplex reticle, and new Winchester 9-13" bipod [this is my 'baby' as it was my first long-gun and it wasn't real great out of the box, and it was quickly relegated to lying around at the bottom of the closet under junk, collecting nothing but dust and time, for about a year- then I decided to spend a little dough on the Volquartsen upgrades to see if it would feed/extract/fire reliably, - then i decided while I'm at it to get the scope upgraded, sling equipment installed, and everything done by a gunsmith for his tender loving care- now it's amazingly accurate, fast, and reliable and the bipod is just adding to it's suburban sniper sexy stability.]
Would love an original GSG-5 and/or a GSG-5 PK / Maybe a S&W M&P 15-22 P , I think a GSG5 PK or M&P15-22 P with a sling attached to the end cap is a great great little firearm... WOuld be an awesome thing to have, not a NEED but a little bit of a Want.
EDIT- my pics weren't working, hopefully i fixed this - ? a little help, if you can gimme a shout and say yeah you're all good it's fixed or no way Jose it ain't all good no joy

This is the only weapon I ever built: It's based around a new, stock 10/22 action, but the heart of it is the fast twist (1:9") E.R. Shaw bull barrel, which will stabilize Aguila 60 gr. SSS ammo.

Excellent. I have thought of doing something similar. I have some of the 60gr .SS ammo and it will stabilize in On;y one of my .22's, a Marlin 60. My 50th Anniversary edition Model 60 however will not stabililize them. A lot of the pest control contractors use those rounds with cans and they are really quiet. I now a guy who hunts pigs with them and goes for ear shots at less than 50yds. He is VERY successful with them and a suppressed firearm.

One minute of ear at fifty yards! Not with my skills. NFW.
I may as well blame the ammo - why not? The hundred or so SSS rounds that that I've weighed vary by almost a grain, but I think it's all in the slug, so it's not as bad as it sounds. Still, at 60 yds. I'm grouping nowhere near as tight as my stock stainless 10/22 does with Fed HP.
I've been surprised to find that the can affects POI significantly, although I can't explain why. It's quite a few clicks on the 2.5-10X44 Tasco to zero it from with to without the can.

My bud says his accuracy isn't as good with them either, but it is good enough. Keep in mind that he isn't exactly stalking these critters with a 22, but he baits them and shoots from a slightly elevated position and will only take broadside shots. He is Very successful and is able to take several pigs without spooking them a lot of the time.
Nice pics everyone! There are some really cool rimfires here.

I've been searching for one of those smith 34 2inchers- they are hard to find and getting really pricey! I remeber the days right after autos hit it big on th US scene in the 1980's- back then shops couldn't hardly give used revolvers away!
now they are getting popular again. Those that posted your smith wheel guns thanks me likey!
many people today would be much better shooters if they had a better grounding in fundamental marksmanship with a .22 rather than jumping on the tacticool bandwagon!
And many people don't have a clue what they are talking about. :whistling:
This is a picture thread, if you have nothing to add, go piss in another thread.
Here are some of my 22's right after a 22 caliber range day.

The Beretta Neos might be funny-looking, but it is plenty accurate for a plinker. I'm not a gee-whiz shot, but in my hands it did this with 50 rounds.

How does your M22 do feeding bulk ammo? I'd like to get another suppressor host, so the factory threaded version looks like a good deal - if it works!

I've only put CCI mini mags through it so far. I read it was kind of picky when its new and it has given me very few ftf and i've put about 600 rounds through it so far.

.22lr's are just too much fun. They multiply like rabbits in my collection.

Awesome looking rifle there!
What mags are you using?
Is it built off a 10/22? Or possibly a Charger? IIRC 10/22's are rare in Australia since you guys had that ban in the 90's

Thanx :)
Its a charger, still classed as a pistol here. 10/22s are not as common anymore as you say, no real problem getting them if you have the right licence though.
Its just a factory 10 shot with a fake tube extension for looks.

Thank you!
Here is a Papoose that I bought about twenty years ago for $40. I gave it to my son but it still is in my safe. It is more accurate than my 10/22 but also more finicky.

Ruger 10/22 integral suppressed by John's Guns. I get to use it on game animals this year.

Its actually a glock frame with a 22 conversion slide. Probably my a company called advantage arms. Its basically a whole new upper assembly that fits on the stock glock frame. The kit comes with some new conversion mags also. I think you can get them for about 300-400 $

Yup me too mine is a Marlin 151M(b) I still have the original rear peep sights and the front sight still has all its various select a post posts. always liked that style stock though. I think its a early to mid 1950's model.
