I was wondering does anyone else prefer the extra weight in the steel version snub noses out there? I know personally after shooting and handling one I much prefer the extra few ounces. I would even go as far as saying maybe guns like the 36 are what started the Revolvers are better for newbies then semi autos. The differences is night and day in my opinion what do yall think?

I don't mined a light revolver if it has comfortable grips that don't cause pain when shooting. My LCR357 has become a favorite shooter because of the grips.

Weight and grips make a huge difference in shooting the little J-frames. I have a stainless steel 640 and a lightweight 442. Both are the same size. Shooting .38 +p in both, the heavier gun is much easier to control and shoot follow up shots. The lightweight is great for ankle or pocket carry, and I do that. But it's hard to shoot.

I like having both alloy and all-steel snubbies. The pockets of some garments will better support the lighter weapons, but otherwise, I would rather have all-steel.
