I handled the PST 1-4x at my local gun shop today. I liked it, but wanted to get others opinions and reviews. I've also looked at some higher priced scopes. I can't justify spending $1000 on a scope for my 10/22. I have a Millett DMS on it now, but it has crappy eye relief and burns through batteries pretty fast.

Anybody tried a Viper PST? What did you think?

I have a $30 Simmons on my 10/22. Its all you need.

I plan on getting one for an AR at one point. Seem like a quality scope for the $.

It does have a bunch of nice features for the price point.

OK, school me. I assure you that when I built this, price was not a factor. Its a 1" hole 50 yard gun. Its a $30 Simmons scope on a $1,000 10/22.

I don't use mine for precision or benchrest. Mine is built for speed on steel plates and bowling pins from any position including from a moving vehicle. It has to be capable of shots from 5-100 yards. Eye relief is paramount as well as clarity. The Simmons doesn't excel at either of those.
