SC restaurants?

I know here in SC it is illegal to carry inside an establishment that sells alcohol for sit-down consumption. My wife and I recently rode our bicycles to a place that had outside seating in front of the establishment. Would sitting outside (front) where one would never have to enter still be an area where a firearm is prohibited?

Also, if someone catches a glimps or some printing of my weapon in SC is that an offense that can be punished or just a wear a better shirt thing? I forget. And what is the best place to find this info? I couldn't find it in my book I have and all websites either don't have it or are from 2006. Anything more up-to-date?

When in doubt, drop a letter to your state attorney general's office and ask the same question. Their opinion on letterhead carries a LOT of weight.

They're a better source for that than I am.
