Update:

LSP believes "no one else" involved in agent shooting

BATON ROUGE - Investigators said Friday afternoon they do not believe anyone else was involved in the shooting of a state Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agent who was found dead this morning in West Feliciana Parish.

Lt. Doug Cain with the Louisiana State Police said authorities began investigating the death as a homicide.

Investigators are looking into the possibility of an accidental shooting.

Also, I would like to hear more facts. He decided to commit suicide while investigationg a call of illegal night hunting? So, he waited for the right call and decided to kill himself? Cop/LE suicides don't normally happen that way.

I would like to hear more.

Services for Sgt. Paul Stuckey
Visitation will be at First Baptist Church in Zachary, La on Tuesday, Oct. 4 from 5pm to 9pm and Wednesday Oct. 5 from noon until service at 2pm.

The report that "no one else was involved" just means he wasn't shot at, or shot by a third party. But it could very well mean he observed the poacher(s), and was in the process of drawing his weapon and taking police action when the tragic accident occurred. After all it was 0200 hours.

So although it might have been accidental, it was still in the line of duty.
