remington 1100, 20 gauge convert to HD please

Mas,

I bought my wife years ago a 1100 in 20 gauge and she enjoys it but now we want to covert it to a HD gun. it is a basic model and nothing has been done to it. I have read that you like this gun for a HD. What suggested upgrades or add-ons to this shot gun would you make please?

You didn't mention barrel length, but if it has a long sporting barrel, something shorter might make it faster to maneuver.

Definitely an extended magazine.

Oversize safety and bolt handle makes it easier and more positive for some to manipulate.

Conventional bead sight should be fine for buckshot use. If slug use or distance shooting is anticipated, look at ghost ring sights.

Other than that, it's probably good to go. Most or all of the items mentioned above should be available through Brownell's.
