The VA sent me this address https://myaccess.dmdc.osd.mil.dsaccess/ to contact along with my Activation Code for self service logon. The letter came by US Mail.
After I type the link above, I get this message saying the link is Untrustworthy. I get the same message if I use Win 7 Chrome, or XP using FireFox.

I also tried www.dmdc.osd.mil.appj.bwe/ with the same results.

These are for my health records from 67-68 and vital.
Any thoughts?

I couldn't get either link to come up. Did you type them in correctly (referring to those in your post).

Yea neither link worked for me. I know it sounds like alot of work but I would take that letter into the VA or call somebody about it. It could be some sort of scam preying on vets.

this is the correct url for the first link:
https://myaccess.dmdc.osd.mil/dsaccess

this is the correct url for the second link:
https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/appj/bwe/

the reason the security warnings pop up is because the incorrect urls don't match the security certificates for the correct ones.

i didn't get any certificate warnings when i went to the proper urls.

I definitely copied the first url incorrectly twice, on different computers substituting . for /. Thanks for correcting me.
The first url you typed came up aces, but the second I typed verbatim from the letter . Even though you added https:// it still gives me "The site's security certificate is not trusted!"
Thanks again, I need the first, wife needs the 2nd when I'm dead. Maybe I can get it right before then!

I copied and pasted https://myaccess.dmdc.osd.mil/dsaccess

and came up with the same. Yours works mine doesn't.

My Marine Online account always comes up with a bad certificate, but I would contact the VA directly to verify the links, just to be safe.

honestly, i wouldn't worry about it.

also, all i did was swap some .'s for /'s when entering the url's into my browser and copy/pasted the results back to my earlier post.

considering how many certs the various parts of the government has i would expect them to have issues with them expiring at times.

it's possible i added an exception for the second link a while back while doing stuff for my brother who's a Marine, and that's why i didn't get a security warning.

either way, they're hosted on legit .mil servers.

http://www.myhealth.va.gov/

That's the link I use to get into my local VA health services. I've never had issues regarding site security and I use both an alpha shield and a watchguard firebox hardware firewalls in tandem with NIS 2012.

BINGO. I get the same thing and I'm told it's because the urls do not match.

I HAD to call DEEDS because I cannot logon, they have my birthday day wrong. I asked about the warning and was told the government didn't need the certificates and just ignore the warnings.

All of my connections to the VA, Army and updating my DD214 come up with bad certificates.

Rather often they have the certificate for the server doddomain.mil when the site is www.doddomain.mil

Gets annoying but accept it as normal.
