Rest in peace Jim, you are missed.

I haven't cried about this in over a year, but typing it up now I cant stop.

Most of us have been there and feel your pain.

My deepest condolences. Know that it'll bubble up again, unpredictably maybe. That's okay.

Post or PM if you need anything.

The jury took less than 30mins to reach a verdict. It is supposed to help when he gets convicted, but it hasn't

Jim and I applied for the same as I position many years ago.

There was only one slot open and two applicants, but the Sheriff liked us both so much that he hired us both, and had to whip something up for the budget to do it.

I hope this dirtbag lives to be 103 years old, and spends every minute of it behind bars.

I remember how much I hated him as we were both running our 1.5mi run before our obstacle course during the hiring process. We were literally step by step the entire way, fastest 1.5mi I ever ran in my life.

He was the only man standing in the way of my dream at the time.

Sounds like Jim made you a better man. I don't doubt that you did the same for him.

God bless.

Hate to dig up an old thread, but pray for us tomorrow. The sentencing hearing is at 9am. Word is there will be standing room only, every cop in the county will be in uniform in the courtroom.

The jury recommended 7-5 against the death penalty. This judge is lenient on dope and theft charges, but definitely hands out the death penalty on slam dunk capital murder cases.

It has been a long and drawn out process, I thought it was over when he was convicted, but they have continued the sentencing hearing as long as possible.

The hearing was disappointing. It was a three ring circus and didn't get wrapped up. Its continued until September.

I feel terrible for Jim's family, this crap has been going on for 3.5yrs now.

Hang in there. Sometimes justice grinds on slowly. But for sure it grinds on.

Hope you are OK.

May the judge sentence the murderer to life, no parole, or death.
