Happy German-American Day for all the Americans with German heritage
Happy German American day to you ass well mein freund from Deutschland.
Hooked on Phonics worked for me!
My wife did point out to me today that I was being more overbearing than usual, damn genes.
You got me there Horror. I guess I was reading too much on the occupy wall street protests  Anyways have a good one.
Thank you !
Didn't know about it. (Don't follow ethnic holidays that closely, though.)
My German side of the family is from Germantown, PA, too. ;)
Had I known, Ich würde Brats und Bier für Abendessen hatten. :wavey:
Danka. I always enjoy the Von Steuben Day parade and festivities.
Deutsche Gemütlichkeit - Prost!
P.S. - Hug your German Shepherd Dog too.
Although not strictly of German heritage part of my ancestry is comprised of German people, back in the day, as is my wife's. A lot of places in Missouri my home state is German settlements in origin. One place I know of you can visit and see the names of certain buildings all being in German.
Thanks Horror. Prosit.
Danke! Mein Gross Oma im Nurnberg geborren am 1897.
One person celebrated a little too much by comparing Pres Obama to Hitler. He got kicked off Monday Night Football!
I'm about as German as it gets. I was actually born in Nuremburg. Sadly, in the 25 years I have been a cop in Texas, I am quite sure I have eaten ten times as much Mexican food as I have German food.
I have two birth certificates, German and American. Trying to figure out some way to use that to my benefit.
Guten Tag Amigo!
i have some German heritage somewhere down the line but the only words i know are:
stopin zee flopin
slobin zee knobin
Lord forgive me, and the little pigmees in africa too.
My step grandmother always said my grandfather was German in the boardroom and French in the bedroom [/awkward family moments]
Guten Tag Amigo!
