And how do you like it. I received mine Friday afternoon, back up from my i4 and sync went off without a hitch. Really nice device.

I upgraded from the 3GS. Night and day is an understatement. I'm still dumbfounded with regards to the quality of the camera. It's hard to believe a phone takes pictures as good as many point and shoot digital cameras.

My friend got one the day it came out and it is pretty slick. Like srhoades said, the pictures are pretty good. The camera is clearly better than any other cell camera I have used. I want to get one because I lost my 3GS when some lamer pushed me into a swimming pool at a party, but the contract cell plans just cost too much. If anyone upgraded and wants to sell their 3gs or 4, I'll give you more for it than Gazelle or the guys on pawn stars.

I miss my iPhone.

I got to play with a 4S yesterday and Siri is pretty cool. I tested it and the voice prompts worked well over bluetooth.

I am trying not to want one because I am probably a year away from getting a new phone on my contract.

The 4S fits in the Lifeproof case BTW. :whistling:

I went in the day it came out and checked it out. I ended up walking out the door with my Epic 4g Touch Samsung Galaxy S II. I got a beast of a phone :)

Having had one of the high end Androids, I advise you to keep an extra battery with you- you're gonna need it.

Holy bionic name Batman! Sounds like phone tech is going the way of the dog show. Can't wait until the "Jobs' iPod Classic Revival Superlative Delicious 5gs/t/d iPhone/phax" comes out. :whistling:

Lol I just figured Id put the whole name there. Its just the Epic when you get down to it. Samsung Galaxy S II is more like the make of the phone.

Does the iphone4s have 4g yet? Oh yea they must just be waiting for 5g

Finally got mine yesterday, I "upgraded" from the 4.

I don't know if it's psychological or not, but I find it much more pleasant to use, and swear that things just look better on the white i-devices. I had a black iPad1, got the white iPad 2, had the black 4, now have the white iPhone 4S, and swear that it's just more pleasant to look at, screen seems better & brighter....call me nuts.

Anyway, I did compare my 4 and 4S side by side and the 4S definitely does have a much brighter, more clear screen. My 4, compared to my 4S, is much dimmer, with a noticeably blue tint - and yes, the brightness was set to identical levels.

I had read that apparently some white iPhone 4 & 4S' are plagued with notably yellow tints, I lucked out & got a pretty perfect model, IMO.

Otherwise, it's a bit faster than the 4....doesn't seem night and day, but it's certainly slightly better. Was snapping pics last night, and it certainly can do multiple shots very quickly, so that's a welcome upgrade.

Browsing the internet is quicker, as is navigating inside most apps, of course.

Siri is very cool and I believe it will do what I wanted (the only reason I purchased the 4S, in fact) which is to keep me from texting while driving.

I'm just very disappointed that when you create a meeting with a person in your contacts, it automatically sends a meeting request. Maybe I'll come to love that, but for now, I wish it wouldn't, or wish that I could control the option.

Was also pleasantly surprised that Siri didn't censor my cuss word in a text to a buddy.

And sorry NRA Ninja - I gave my 4 to my sister. :)

Just upgraded my wife from the iPhone 1 to the 4s a few days ago. It's a little better. ..In an very extreme way.

I got the 4S, and it is much faster than my 3GS, the camera is much better, surfing the web on 3g is faster, and the screen is much nicer to look at. Siri is fun, but more of a gimmick to me. It is a very worthwhile upgrade.

Anyone else with the 4S have absolutely awful battery life?

A buddy told me he read an article that apparently there are issues with the battery life.

My 4 with iOS 5 was just about the same as before, but my new 4S I can honestly just about watch the battery drop.....

Gonna restore it & reinstall the software tonight, see if that helps at all, then call or go to the Apple store....maybe swap for another.

If you have Facebook turn off location services. Mine was continually using the GPS and draining the battery. Check for other apps that use location services that really don't need it.

I am a long time Android user and made the switch to iOS with the 4S. So far I am in love. Apps are by and large much higher quality. Yeah, not nearly as many free apps but I would much rather pay for a quality app than have a crap free app. I have always like iTunes for music management so that's fine. The screen is amazing. I was worried about the small size for web browsing but with apps replacing most of my web use it's been a non-issue plus it's so nice to look at. The camera is amazing.

Battery isn't hugely impressive but close to double to what I was getting in my Droid's. I can kill the 4S in twelve hours but a Droid wouldn't last six, yeah I'm hard on my battery. The key is location services. Only turn on what you need. The GPS will destroy a battery no matter what the phone or OS is, they are battery hogs. The second killer is push notifications, especially mail accounts. If you can live with email polling it will save you a ton of battery and don't turn on push notifications for every app, I can't and have three exchange emails set-up and gladly pay the battery penalty for instant email that's just as fast as blackberry. It's literally almost instant, 1-2 seconds from the time it's sent. Getting 100 useless facebook notifications everyday is killing your battery.
