Too much pounding on the forward assist.

He should have stopped and investigated what was wrong instead of
just continuing to force feed it ammo.

Yep... exactly what I thought.

The fellow had ample opportunities to slow down and find out what the real problem was. Its not as if his life depended on getting that round to fire.

A reloader would have stopped at the first sign of trouble. One of the many reasons I'm glad I reload is my paranoia with the rounds I reload. Gives one more respect for the round, the firearm and shooting in general.

I was betting a squib. The other guy kept telling him; "bad primer". He neve once checked the bore to see if there was an obstruction. I love Charles Darwin.:stooges:

Yep - the fault is the people running the rifle - not the ammo.

Did I hear that correctly? He told his DAD he didn't load the ammo very well and the DAD said "I didn't do it, so and so did it".

YGTBSM. I realize the son was a grown man but dayum, you must be nucking futs to have some horn blower reload and then try them out on your kid. I worked for a guy who would do all the shake down runs on his 6 second race car for his 35 year old kid. When asked why my friend always said the same thing; "I worked my way to a 6 second car, he didn't...I paid for it, he didn't...if I die he didn't."

Seems to me that there is something wrong with that dad.

FWIW...Darwin didn't help you there because the guy is sitll upright and he prolly already had kids.:whistling:

I had the same thing happen to me however, I stopped, inspect the round and then open up and inspect the bore (a whopping 1 min). Found a blib, cleared and continued.

Every time that guy ejected a dud he did not take the time to even look and see if it had it's bullet.:faint:

The younger/faster crowd wants instant gratification. I would say he got a good dose there.:whistling:

Having a dowl or cleaning rod to stick down the barrel to check for a bullet would probably have helped.

Something is wrong with the gun, lets beat on it to make it work..Oh another FF, lets beat on it more...KABOOM Oh ***** what happen....IDIOTS. Would have taken a second to break down the AR and check the barrel. Like above said, reloaders are more cautious with things. One little problem and i fully investigate.

Wow. That video is FULL of FAIL.

About 20 years ago, I got a case of .45 ball ammo from an upstart re-loading company for a SONG from a local range. I soon found out why. 1 in 7 or 10 shots was a freaking squib. After working my way through a box of this stuff, I decided to start reloading my own. I started by pulling down 950 of these rounds, and tossing the powder. The grass grew REALLY green that year! If anything happens to my stuff, it's 100% MY responsibility.

Anybody else notice how much his muzzle jumps when he flinches pulling the trigger on those "dead rounds"? I bet his accuracy is STELLAR. Probably learned to shoot by playing Call of Duty.
