And for the rest of the family.

As most know, the wife is also an officer, albeit with a different aagency. This morning, her mother finally passed away. It has been a long time coming, and not particularly pleasant to watch as diabetes and other problems mounted up and took their toll.

My wife lost her father while still in high school, and has been extremely close to heher mom ever since. We all knew this was coming, but it still sucks. Just keep her/us in your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks....and now to the fun parts - funerals and such. I hate stuff like this. Just went to the funeral of a friend's newborn son who died last month, now my mother-in-law. No more, mmkay?

Loved ones will always watch over us, even when they pass from this world.

Just know that our God is Just, and whatever suffering she had here on earth helped clean her soul so she could be in a better place in purgatory where she will suffer no more. My prayers go out to her and her family, that God gives them strength to cope with the loss. God Bless!

Very sorry for your loss.

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them,
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.

I'm saying a prayer for your wife and your entire family right now. Remember to take care of physical needs like rest and nutrition, for that helps you cope with the emotional strain.

We are doing as well as to be expected. Thank you for all the kind thoughts and prayers. My wife just went back to work today, its hit her pretty hard. She has no parents left, as her father died 20 years ago, before we ever met. I've been busy taking care of the family, so its not really sunk in just yet. My 12 year old daughter is really upset, too..that sucks bad.

Anyway, thanks again to all.
