G27 with G33 Barrel. For SD do I need G33 mags?

Hi Mas,
Have a Talo EXO G27 and just purchased a factory Glock G33 Barrel.
My understanding is that the 40 mags will work, but 357 mags are recommended so there's no mix up with ammo. My EXO 40 barrel is nickel plated and the 357 is black. so I don't see that as an issue.

Have heard of FTF follower problems by some though.
Possibly resolved by 357 mags?
I'll only be using quality self-defense ammo.

My Question:
Can I go with the G27/40 mags, with a G33/357 barrel for self defense, with confidence?

I've found my G33 and G27 magazines to be interchangeable, but that's just me. I'd suggest you check with JR at the Glock Pistol section here in GATE.
