Congrats! Is that used? Looks like one that is/was for sale on this and several other forums.

yes, older model. certificate says 2001. nowlin barrel and square dust cover. still incredibly tight. disassembly and reassembly would not have been possible without the bushing wrench.

serial is not on the slide. was not listed anywhere but I did find it on here.

I think that would be pre MIM too, FWIW.

Congrats! How does the Professional compare to the TRP that you had? Mind sharing how much you paid for it?

Thanks

the trp operator was very nice but the fit and overall feel of the pro is top notch. a 10 year old pistol that the previous owner said he fired frequently and it still looks like new. one of the range regulars, an old school bullseye shooter, thought it was new and was amazed as he had never seen a springfield custom shop pistol. he was comparing it to his les baers and wilson combat and was truly impressed saying his pistols had nothing on the pro.

traded the trp operator and a threaded hk for it.

Thanks for the reply. The gun looks great. I am currently searching for a Professional myself.

i took it to a local range and one of the old time 1911 shooters came over to check it out. he could not believe it was a springfield and did not know they had a custom shop. looked it over with a fine tooth comb doing everything but disassemble it. checked the fit, finish, trigger, pulled back the slide, etc. he said, 'it is quality. look at the lines, the beavertail blend and fit, the checkering. i never knew springfield could do anything like this. my les baers and ed browns have nothing over this. let me get out of here before i order one of these.'
