I like the compactness of the G29, but I need a 4" barrel to legally hunt in Washington. The 4" Lone WOlf barrel in the 29 would be the best of both worlds.

No. The lugs on the G20 and G29 are different, so the barrels aren't interchangeable. Ditto the G21 and G30.

Here's why

You need to buy an aftermarket barrel

Thanks for the help. Guess I'll go see if I can get a 4" barrel for the 29.

I have the 4.48" Storm Lake barrel. Sticks out of the slide about an inch.

sorry about the crappy phone pix.

I have both. The Stormlake is 4.48 inchs, no ports and is on the left. The Lonewolf I originally wanted a normal length barrel but they were out of stock, so I bought the ported barrel (both are 10MM) with the intention of cutting the barrel shorter. Never got around to it. Both run 100% however I did have to polish up the Stormlake chamber a bit. Not the feeding ramp however. Both have near perfect case support and I run max loads thru them without any problems.

Be well, Bob

Many of us who bought LWD 10mm barrels recent months are very SURPRISED to find that the barrels are not fully supported, contrary to what they posted on website.

Check 21carrier's thread"Possible problem with LWD" !

My LWD 6" 10mm is not fully supported, while my StormLake 4.58" bought from the same period is fully supported.

Don't go try hot loads without checking it.

I bought a LWD 10mm barrel for my G29 a few months ago because of the whole "fully supported" issue. I was not very pleased when I got it. The support (feed ramp area) was no better than the stock Glock barrel. I ended up returning it and getting a KKM -- which is what I wanted to do in the first place because I already had KKM barrels for my G20.

The KKM I ended up getting was much better than the LWD as far as feed-ramp support goes. I don't know if the LWD barrel I received was bad or if that is just how LWD barrels are. I rather doubt I got a "bad" one.

As far as chamber diameter, LWD may be a little tighter... I don't know. I did not investigate to that degree.

Oh yeah, as far as the term "Fully Supported", I think that is total BS. I have yet to see any aftermarket Glock barrel be "Fully" supported. Better support, yes. Fully (as in 100%) support, no. The feed ramp always protrudes into the chamber area. The only exception I have seen is my LWD 9x25 Dillon barrel for my G20. I think the round design allows for the feed ramp to be positioned better.

My lwd 10mm stock length g20 barrel doesnt seem to be completely fully supported to me...It looks more like a little better than halfway between full support and a glock barrel. It is match grade however, just the ramp protrudes ever so slightly into the chamber.

KKM Precision makes a 4.75" for the 10mm G-29

The only two barrels that Mike at Swamp Fox recommends are Storm Lake and LWD.

Just sayin
