I'm considering trying some of this for the 30-30. Anybody here shoot it, if so how has it performed? I've heard claims of longer range shots with this stuff. What do you guys say?

Terminally, it performed better than any 30-30 I have ever shot. Problem was, I missed a deer because I pulled the trigger, and click. Didn't fire. Pulled the hammer back again, click, didn't fire.

Out of a box of 20, about 6 didn't ignite. The primer strikes were deep. It may have been a bad batch, but I went back to Remington.

Damn, I'm sorry to hear that, I'm glad that when the rounds did perform for you they worked well. Have you considered giving another box a shot?

You sent Hornady ammo back to Remington?

FWIW I've shot two deer with the 35 Rem load and was impressed with the ammo. It also groups 1" at 100 yards through my SS Marlin 336.

I've shot it in 357 and 44, it seemed to perform well with no misfires in mine.

Best round made for the 30-30 in my limited experiance. Only ammo that has chambered butter-smooth with out any issues. Not to mention it is the most accurate round I have ever shot. I can consitantly hit a bowling ball size target at 100 yards. Will not put anything else in my (wifes) Marlin, ever.

I like how it shoots and functions in my win 94.

I've only shot paper, but very good accuracy for open sights 100yrds.
