View Full Version : Hatsan Arms -- Escort Are these guns any good? 12 gauge shotgun
Are the Hasan Arms (turkish) 12 gauge pumps reliable for home defense shot gun?
What experiences or issues do you know of?
Are they copies of a remington or mossy or their own mechanism design?
Hatsan Arms -- Escort 12 gauge pump shotgun
Stick with an 870, parts may be an issue in the long run.
Love my 870 but I have to say the Escorts look cool; I would say stick with what is tried and true though.
Ive been tempted to pick one up.I say go for it a buddy a mine has one and he uses it as his HD shotgun .He said hes put thousands of rounds tru it with no issues.
Ive got my eye on the autoloader though.
i have a rifled 870 so my leaning is to stick with 870s
A happy owner of the semi-auto version here. About 400 rounds through it without a single issue. 2.75" and 3" both have fed/fired/extracted as expected. Chrome lined chamber and barrel, hi-vis sights and a price that made an auto shotgun available to me. I had my eye on the Weatherby SA-459 and once I found out this was the exact same gun without the extra $100 for the Weatherby name stamped on it, I went out on that limb. Glad I did. One of the main reasons for looking at this was that I plan to share this gun with the wife and daughters. For them, a standard 14.5" LOP was too much and the Escort comes standard with 13.5" LOP. Add to that the recoil absorbing SA action, and this is now our primary HD weapon.
