I'm currently out of town for work and decided to check out the local shop. Long story short, I walked out with a Colt SP6940.

I'm super stoked and can't wait to get home and give her a go.

For those wondering why I chose colt, I'm retired military and it's what I'm more familiar with and it was well within my price range. I will probably put some glass on it at some point, but not sure which direction I wanna go yet. Otherwise, it will stay pretty much stock.

Good choice! I've heard plenty of times before that the 6940s are very accurate for what they are.

For those wondering why you chose Colt.... Why does anyone not choose Colt??

Actually, I think that's just the poor hotel room lighting. It looks normal in person. However, I may change it anyways. The stock grip is pretty small. A little more girth would be nice...that's what she said.

Consider a Geissele trigger. Can't figure why Colt and the other makers can't give you a decent trigger from the factory.
