I had a couple of moon clips loaded with .45 ACP JHP. Put one in the gun safe, on the felt-covered shelf, next to the dehumidifier. Put the other in a nylon carrying case that I normally carry the revolver in.
A few days later, I opened the safe and noticed the brass on the rounds in the moon clip were turning green, and felt sticky. Then I went to inspect the other moon clip in the nylon case, and found those rounds undergoing the same process.
None of the ammo in boxes in the gun safe showed any of those symptoms, nor did any of the rounds loaded in magazines in another nylon case.
Just the rounds held in those moon clips.
Clues, anyone?
