I'm reloading 60 grain - 75 grain bullets, I've used Reloader 15 with very good results but of course it doesn't meter very well. I plan to start loading this on my Dillon 550 and want a powder that can give good accuracy and meter well through the powder measure. So what are you guys using? Thanks for you help.

I load all 55 and occasionally 62 grain bullets, but I use H335 in my Dillon 650 and it seems to meter pretty consistently.

For my 60gr V-Max and SS109 hand loads I use Varget.

I am loading the Sierra 69 gr HPBT with Reloader 15. It is grouping 1.5" at 300 yards with a 10x Nikon BDC Scope on a Savage Long Range Precision Varmint. With a better scope, this load might do a little better.

Using 550B for this. No special procedures; I just polish the brass, spray on some lube and run it through the press. Mostly once-fired Federal brass (Wally World bulk).

TAC is pretty good with 55g bullets from 24.5 to 25.6g (best accuracy IME) but really shines with heavier bullets.
I love the stuff, meters very, very well..... clean burning

I used TAC when I loaded 223.

I've like Hodgdon's BL-C(2) and H335, both are great powders and meter like water. My AR's give a slight edge in accuracy to BL-C(2) with 55gr to 69gr bullets.

I use BL-C(2) for my 55 grainers, in both my Ar and my Howa 1500

I haven't found a better AR load than 69 grain matchkings and Varget, but most guys act like they have sand in their va-jay-jays over how it meters. Doesn't bother me.

That is a great powder... never used it for .223, but I can attest to it's usefulness in .308.

Hi Zombie, I never had a problem with how Varget metered. I just could not get the same consistent accuracy with it that I could with BL-C(2) or even H335. I know other people love it.:dunno:

Back in my High Power days, I found that AA2230 worked well out to 300 yds. Then I used Varget @ 600 yds. Could never get the ball powders to work well at the longer ranges.
By the way, this was also true of 308 (7.62) loads in an M14. Used AA 2520 out to 600 yards, but needed to use 4064 @ 1000 yards.

Varget, Benchmark and TAC.

Varget and Benchmark for accuracy.

TAC for velocity.

One more vote for H335. It has served me very well.
