Cabela's has a Kwik Klip detachable mag conversion that works really well. It's $93 and a 10 round mag is $43 (a 4 round mag is $33). I have it on a BDL .30-'06

When you take a look at this one make sure you read the reviews, epically if you reload or plan on using military surplus ammo. Thatís not a negative just a headís up.

im just wondering if its a cheap fix that will prob break since its 1/3 the price of the others.

You usually get what you pay for.

I usually read as many reviews as I can taking into account that some people have absolutely no mechanical ability. I rely on the ones written by those that sounds like they have a clue. On the Cabela’s site one fellow posts about feed problems. Another gives overall length sizes that affect feeding. I tend to believe what they have to say because one supports the other. If you’re using factory ammo or loading for hunting it probably wouldn’t be a problem. However, if you’re loading for accuracy your overall length my end up being too long for the mags to function properly. That’s’ what I gleaned from the little reading I did.

I’ve toyed with the idea of putting a mag system on my BDL but decided against it. Don’t really need it and the $$ will serve to create more fun spent on other parts.

I wouldn't have recommended it if it didn't work

I didn’t say it doesn’t work. I said others have stated “they” have had problems. Don’t take my word for it go read the reviews. I’m glad the one you have works.

I’m having a problem with a laser I just purchased. Some people wrote scathing reviews. Some stated they had minor problems while other’s posted how well the product performed. I got one that HAS a problem. I’m waiting (counting the days and hours) to hear from the company. I filled out a contact form on their Internet site last Saturday. If I don’t receive a reply from them by tomorrow afternoon I’ll telephone. I’ll then post a review stating exactly what the problem was how long it took to receive a reply and what the company does or doesn’t do to resolve the problem. In fact I have most of it already typed up. I’m sure the people that have good ones will probably disagree with the review I’m going to post. Won't make it any less factual.

I don't need to read the reviews. I have it installed in my rifle and it works for me. This is a first hand review and it is unnecessary for me to compare my experience with someone else. I've had the Kwik Klip setup for about a year now and it's been problem-free.

:panties:

I’ll repeat… I did not say there was a problem with the kit. I’m glad it works for you. It’s a shame others haven’t been so fortunate. I DID NOT say there was a problem… OTHERS DID. All I DID was recommend to the OP to read the reviews and decide for himself. I stand by that recommendation.
