Been told that most kabooms! happens on the .40's. And as a caution, I dont use lead on my 23. But what about teflon? Will that be okay? I wonder how many here uses teflon?

Yes, I know. But what if I dont change barrel, can I make use of the teflon coated amo?

You'll be fine with Teflon. It's the lead deposits that build up in the barrel that cause KBs. I don't think that's possible with teflon. But those little buggers must cost a lot. Why not just shoot regular ammo?

And for what it's worth, many MANY guys on GT have shot lead rounds for years with no problems. The important part is to scrub that barrel out after each range session. The whole "NO LEAD IN GLOCK BARRELS" thing is more of an urban legend than a scientific based warning.

For lead, how much rounds is safe w/o cleansing?

Have noticed a 1-3% jam rate when I use teflon. I just dont know if this depends on the maker.
