Thought you guys might like to know the Belgium Federal Police have awarded S&W a 10 year contract for 20,000 M&P 9's. ;)

I imagine there's some competition in Europe for such contracts. :whistling:

Even the Belgians don't want FNP's. Hmmm...

No need to poke the fans with a stick. :tongueout:

I suspect that if and when the FN guns start to receive more attention from international military customers and LE (both international and American), especially since they've got a model variation seemingly developed for LE here, we'll start to see them in more hands here & there than just civilian enthusiasts.

At least they've got a FNP/FNX pistol armorer class going now now, which is something that would be needed to help attract domestic LE users. (They've got a Five-SevenŽ USG Pistol Maintenance Course listed, as well.) Of course, the Less Lethal Launcher instructor & armorer classes certainly appear to be their bread & butter classes when it comes to training. http://www.fnhusa.com/le/training/home.asp#/?i=3

I suspect we'll slowly start to see them develop at least some small share of the burgeoning LE market here. How much and how quickly will probably depend to some small degree on how well their guns do in any future major testing by large agencies as time passes.
